Kauai Taxi Services
When vacationing in Kauai it’s probably not a good idea to take a taxi everywhere you want to go. Kauai taxi services are a bit expensive, so I don’t really recommend using them unless absolutely necessary. They usually charge around two dollars per mile. At that rate, a drive from Lihue to Princeville will run you 60 dollars and going from Lihue to Poipu will cost you 32.
Kauai Taxi Tips
When choosing a taxi service on Kuai it’s a good idea to pay attention to the company’s location and general operating area. Most of them operate from out of Lihue, but not all. If you’re on Kauai’s north shore then your best bet is to use North Shore Cab. If you’re on the south or southwest shore, then you might want to consider Southshore Taxi.
If you’re traveling in a group and need a taxi with extra space, then call Akiko’s Taxi – (808) 822-7588 – they’ve got minivans.

I used KAUAI TAXI COMPANY (246-9554) while on my vacation on kauai and I would like to say that it was amazing!!! They were professional, on time and helpful when it came down to giving me advice about the island! I recommend it to EVERYONE and anyone who needs to take a taxi on kauai! They were awesome!
